Our Story

Treating Preventable Blindness
for People of the Everest National Park

Eyes4Everest

Sydney optometrist Shaun Chang knew he had to do more when he discovered Sherpa children were having eye sight difficulties.

Following in Sir Edmund Hillary's legacy, Shaun created Eyes4Everest to provide primary eye care and prescription eye wear for people of the Everest National Park.

Get Involved

Register, fundraise and join us on our mission to treat preventable blindness. Use your knowledge and skill to help the Everest community.

Can't come? Your donation will help the Sherpa build their first eye clinic and provide further training for our Sherpa optometrist.

Film

We will be releasing a documentary on the needs of the Everest community and the impact Eyes4Everest has had.

The film follows E4E Founder Shaun Chang second eye mission on October 2015. Directed by Nicole Van Heerden and produced by Ghazaleh Colbakhsh.

SPONSORS

Eyes4Everest would not be possible without the immense support from our sponsors. We are extremely humbled by the generosity that we have received, and feel empowered to truly utilise what we have in the most effective way possible to deliver optometric screening and in future, comprehensive treatment and management of eye care to the Sherpa community in Nepal.
