Our Story

Treating Preventable Blindness
for People of the Everest National Park

Volunteer

We are looking for fit and healthy optometrists to provide primary eye care for people of the Everest National Park. You will spend an entire day testing at each village en-route to Everest Base Camp or Gokyo Ri.  This will give you an opportunity to connect with the selfless Sherpa people and acclimatise sufficiently for the tough trek ahead.

Challenge

We are looking for fit and healthy members of the General Public to raise funds for our Eye Hospital in the Kathmandu Valley.  It will also provide eye exams, eye care tools, prescription spectacles, protective sun wear, eye drops and eye surgery. Our team leader will take you to Everest Base Camp and provide you with opportunities to experience Nepalese culture.

Film

Eyes4Everest is anticipating the release of the completed documentary film in 2017, and intends to promote it in both Australia and New Zealand with advanced screenings. Stayed tuned for updates, announcements and a sneak-peek trailer in the coming months.
