Eye Care for Himalayan Communities
Eye Care for Himalayan Communities
In 2013, New South Wales optometrist Shaun Chang was told by doctors at the Khunde Hospital that Sherpa children were having difficulties seeing the board.
The hospital did not have the resources to treat preventable blindness, so he returned to Australia and formed Eyes4Everest.
Volunteer for one of our eye missions. Together, we can treat preventable blindness and make a real difference in remote mountain communities.
Can't come? Your fundraising efforts and donations will our eye clinic in the clouds running.
On November 17, 2023, Eyes4Everest and the Himalayan Trust Nepal opened an eye clinic at the Khunde Hospital.
The clinic aims to prescribe and provide prescription spectacles and sunglasses for people living in the Sargamatha (Everest) National Park.
